Effect of Photovoice on Teaching Research to Counseling Students at Hispanic-serving Institution

Abstract

The current study examined the photovoice project’s effectiveness in teaching research to counselors-in-training at a Hispanic-serving institution. Analysis of 36 pre- and post-survey responses via paired sample t-tests revealed reduced research anxiety and enhanced self-efficacy in research conceptualization, implementation, and presentation. Specific implications for counselor educators and researchers are discussed.
